Virginia House – Wentworth

Lighting is designed and wired using a “CRESTRON” central dimming system with programmable switches or touch screen panels that can also be used for complete home automation. The lighting system incorporates the most recent energy saving lighting technology that can reduce energy usage by up to 80%.

The latest projects use ‘air source heat pumps’ to heat the house via under floor heating and hot water which the manufacturers claim will reduce the heating costs by up to 50% compared with normal heating systems.

A ‘Heat Recovery Ventilation System’ is also being installed to recover 60%-70% of the heat normally being lost through trickle vents over the windows. This ventilation system changes all the air in the property every 2 hours with filtered fresh air thus creating a healthier indoor environment.
